Listen as the rain falls
pitter, patter in my mind
Why can’t I see the wind
as it cleanses the pain from my inexperienced lips?
My heart searches an empty, lucid hole in my body
trying to fill this void
forcing its way through colors
from white to black
from white to white
from something to nothing
from nothing to nothing
this is the end, or is it just the beginning?
Watch as my fragile hands
try to grasp onto some kind of hope
slipping through my brittle fingers, escaping
It’s no use – I give up
I can’t bear to see the sun go down again
on another day that never started
