Well, here I am again
\nToo many empty promises
\nlistening to others instead of myself
\nGod, where have I been?
\nOne of the hardest decisions I’ll ever have to make
\nGrade school, High school, college
\nTeacher to teacher, professor to professor, class to class
\nSo much useless information… so much… so fake
\nPolitics entwines with a sincere effort to make it
\n“You’ll make it”, they say.
\n“You’ll succeed”
\nNot realizing what they are really saying
\nAnd you know what?
\nI’m not making it, I’m not succeeding, and I can’t take it
\nBecause I’ve had enough of this feeling of being let down
\nIt’s up to me now and only me, no one else to blame
\nIf I don’t succeed now, I can honestly say it was my fault
\nI have no one else to point the finger
\nthere is no one else left to let me down (except myself)
\nSo where am I going from here?
\nWell, look at where I have been
\nI have set myself up for disappointment
\nIt’s only natural that instead of success, I am filled with fear
