If I were to stand outside of myself looking in
\nlooking in at a shell
\nI think I would find the reason
\nthe reason for my own personal Hell
\nIf I were to question
\neverything I do wrong
\nI don’t think I would find many answers
\nbecause the questions would be too long
\nI can’t look at something that isn’t there
\nand try to find a reason why
\nI can’t not do something
\nand say, “Well, at least I tried”
\nI can’t search for something I haven’t lost, or found, or never had in the first place
\nI can’t cry while at the same time have a smile on my face
